How I Started Again

How I Started Again

You've seen the videos. You've read about Ban Chiang, about starting over at 58, and about building something new one step at a time.

The question people ask most is simple:

How did you actually do it?

The truth is, I didn't figure it out alone.

After leaving my corporate career, I knew I needed structure. Not hype. Not promises of overnight success. Just a clear path and people who had already walked it.

I found that in LaunchYou.

It's an online educational program that teaches digital skills step by step. Each module builds on the last, making it easier to learn at your own pace, even if you're starting from scratch.

I began at 58 with no technical background and very little idea where this journey would lead. Today, I'm building something new from a village in Northeast Thailand.

If I can learn these skills here, you can learn them wherever you are.

Because sometimes the biggest step isn't starting a business.

It's believing you can start again.

How I Ended Up Here

I'M IAN, FOUNDER OF DIGITAL WORLD FREEDOM & A PROUD LAUNCH YOU AMBASSADOR

Today, I live in a small village in Northeast Thailand, where traditions are still part of everyday life and time seems to move at a different pace.

Living here has changed the way I think about success, purpose, and what it means to build something that lasts.

After leaving corporate life, I found myself searching for a new direction. What began as a move to Thailand became an opportunity to learn new skills, create something of my own, and start a new chapter later in life.

Through this website, I share stories from Ban Chiang, village life, and my journey of discovering that it's never too late to build something new.

Here's Why I Believed It Could Work for Me

Here's why:

I didn't have a product to sell. I didn't have technical skills. I didn't have the time or money for another false start.

What I found was a structured learning program, one module at a time, one skill at a time, that didn't require any of the things I didn't have.

No inventory. No selling to friends. No quitting your job before you're ready. Just a clear path built for people starting from zero.

I followed it. It worked. That's why I'm confident it can work for you too.

No prior knowledge of how any of this works, if you can follow a module, you can do this.

What This Can Look Like

The approach I learned lets you build something flexible.

You can earn from affiliate offers, promoting products you believe in and earning a commission. You can create your own products, offer services, or attract clients. It works across different paths, not just one.

And because much of the process runs on its own, you're not trading every hour of your day for every dollar you earn.

I'm not promising overnight results. I'm telling you what worked for me, and what's working for people just like you.

Why Ban Chiang?

That photo is from the Ban Chiang World Heritage Festival, and the shirt is handwoven cotton, made right here in the village using the same mudmee patterns that have been passed down for generations.

When I moved to Northeast Thailand, I didn't just find a place to live. I found a community with centuries of craft, patience, and colour woven into every thread.

Wearing these colours isn't a costume. It's a signal, that I chose a different life, that I planted myself somewhere real, and that the artisans who weave this cotton are part of my story now.

It's also proof of something I keep coming back to: you don't need someone else's blueprint. You can build something that actually looks like you.

The Learning Path I Followed to Start Over & Build Digital World Freedom

An education-based approach to learning online business skills, without pressure, promises, or hype.

Why This Made Sense to Me

At 58, I wasn't looking for a shortcut. I was looking for a way to learn new skills and create something of my own.

What appealed to me was the simplicity of the model. I didn't need to manufacture products, manage inventory, or become a technology expert overnight.

Instead, I could learn step by step, at my own pace, while building practical digital skills that can be applied from almost anywhere in the world.

Living in Northeast Thailand taught me that meaningful things are often built slowly, one day, one lesson, and one step at a time.

That's why this approach made sense to me.
